Around Town Albany

Dylan Hersha on November 25 just got done washing down a car before it went into the car wash. Dylan works here at the Four Seasons Car Wash in Albany. Dylan started working here this past year. Four Seasons Car Wash has been open since 1996.

Southeast look of the Albany Carousel on First Street, Thursday afternoon November 16. An attraction that has brought more attention to the historic downtown Albany. A lot of the people that are working there are volunteers that love to help people. They help people feel comfortable and help kids get on the carousel. They are all happy and cheerful. The property was paid for by a grant from the Central Albany Revitalization Area. A local attorney offered to lend the money for the property until the grant was approved. In December there is a breakfast with Santa event taking place at the Counsel on December 9. Tickets are on sale right now.

A view of the annual parade held by the Albany Downtown Association on December 3 before the tree lighting ceremony in Albany, Oregon. It was pouring down rain but that didn't keep people from coming. The parade started on Broadalbin and First Street then went around to Second and back. If you happen to be late the parade makes this loop twice. This lead up to the tree lighting ceremony that happens immediately after the parade. A lot of people brought their dogs, and lots of kids enjoyed the parade, some from their parents shoulders.
